The Rocky Hill Parks and Recreation Department strives to offer the best in preschool programming for our youngsters. Our Two preschool enrichment programs for children 3 to 5 years of age are Bright Beginnings (a language based preschool program composed of children with special needs and the typically developing peer models) and Kids Korner variety of music, movement and art. We also offer two fun parent child programs for little ones ages 12 months to 36 months that help toddlers to interact with peers while building gross and fine motor skills.

Bright Beginnings is a preschool program that is language based. The program is composed of children with special needs and typically developing children. The Typically developing children are used as peer mentors for there special needs counterparts. Bright Beginnings is run by a head teacher a speech pathologist and
appropriately skilled paras. This program runs in accordance with the school calendar.

Kids Korner is a preschool program for children 3, 4 & 5 years of age. This is a preparatory program to ready them for school. Children will learn academic & social skills critical thinking and are exposed to a variety of art & science activities. Snacks need to be provided by parent or guardian. The 3 year old class runs Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 9:00am to 11:15am. The 4 &5 year old class runs Mondays through Thursdays from 11:30am to 2:30pm. With minor exceptions this program runs in accordance with the Rocky Hill School year calendar.

Terrific Toddlers is an interactive program for parents and children 2 months to 3 years of age. This program includes exercise, music and movement, nursery rhymes and playtime. Terrific Toddlers runs on Tuesday and Wednesdays from 9:15 to 10:30 am September through May. Fees are $70.00 for residents and $75.00 for non-residents.

Gyminy Crickets is a drop-in program for parents/guardians and children ages 12 to 36 months. This program helps little ones to interact with peers while building gross and fine motor skills and participating in music and movement exercises. This is a drop in program that runs September through May. Cost is $3.00 (a discount will be given for 2nd child).
