You may register for a large majority of our programs by mail, fax and online. We encourage this, as it simplifies the process for both the participants and the office staff. Registrations are processed randomly, with people at the Office Window being serviced first. No registration can be considered complete without written or verbal confirmation from Parks & Recreation. If your registration can not be completed due to a full program, you will be notified, placed on the waiting list, and your payment will be returned to you. No registration will be processed without full payment included.
By registering for a program, you give us permission to take and publish photos of you participating, along with a photo identification. If you do not wish to be photographed, you must include this request in writing along with your registration.
Rocky Hill residents must file a yearly* Proof of Residence. You may accomplish this by bringing/mailing in a copy of your drivers license, or other proof of residence. * Swim lessons require current Proof of Residence.
While we do welcome non-residents to register for our programs (excluding swim lessons, pool badges, piano lessons, and where noted), Rocky Hill residents will receive priority in the registration process. Openings remaining one week prior to the registration deadline of a program may be filled by non-residents. An additional non-resident fee may be applicable - see program descriptions.
• Payment may be by check, cash, VISA or Mastercard.
• Mail-in registrations may not include cash.
• All checks should be made payable to: "Town of Rocky Hill".
• Returned checks are subject to a $15 service charge.
Funding is set aside to assist Rocky Hill families that require financial help in registering for programs. For further information and an application, please contact the Parks and Recreation Office.
As Rocky Hill Parks & Recreation strives to provide excellent customer service, we make all attempts to provide top-quality programs at reasonable costs. Program costs are based on participation numbers. Refunds can only be given when requested in advance, or when a program’s budget allows.
• If a program is cancelled by Rocky Hill Parks & Recreation, a full refund will be given.
• Up until 5 working days prior to the start of a program, a full refund will be given, less a $5.00 processing fee.
• Prior to the second meeting of a program, full refunds, less a $5.00 processing fee, will be given only if the program’s listed minimum participant requirement is still met – otherwise, a credit of 50% of the program fee will be given.
• After the second meeting of a program, no refunds/credits will be given, with the exception of a medical reason accompanied by a written physician’s note – in this case, a pro-rated refund, less a $5.00 processing fee, will be given.
• No refunds will be given on tickets, trips or pool passes.
• In the case of leagues, no refunds/credits will be given once teams have been formed, without a physician’s note.
• In the case of summer camp, no refunds will be given once a session begins, without a physician’s note.
• Credits may only be applied to "in-house" programs (e.g. not applicable to trips, tickets, etc.)
• All refunds will be left as a credit on the household’s account. To receive a refund check, a written request must be submitted.
